"Do you need something...?"
Kokone started and cast her gaze towards the origin of the voice, which was the boy who had been lying down on the roof thing. She was a bit surprised; he seemed pretty disinterested before. Kokone wondered why he had bothered with her again, not realized what a ruckus she had been making.
"Oh, I just wanted to ask you a question," she replied brightly.

A question she says. "Oh...well what do you need to know..?" He asked the girl. He was slightly amused by her surprised face, but other than that, he still rather be left alone.

"Um," Kokone said, removing her foot from the door handle ("SCREEECH!"). "I actually had more than one question. Is the entrance ceremony over? Is that why you're here? What's your name? What year are you in? Why are you on the roof? Is there a reason why you can't go home? Oh, no! Are you being bullied? Do you need me to be your friend? I'll be your friend! I don't have any friends yet, so I'd love to be your friend! I'm glad we're friends now!"
The words just fired from her mouth non-stop.

Rei winced at the door handle as it screeched again. Then the girl started pelting him with questions. Oh jesus. That's one boatload of questions she's got there. Rei sighed as he prepared to answer all her questions.
"No, the entrance ceremony is not over, it probably won't be finished for another half an hour. As for why I'm here, that would be my own business. You don't need to know my name and my year, it won't help you in any way. I'm on the roof because I don't want to be bothered obviously. We got class after this, so of course I can't go home yet. No I'm not being bullied, and I don't need you to be my friend. I never said I would so don't make assumptions by yourself." He replied all in one breath. Jesus. That must be the most talking he's ever done other than speeches for class.
"Now if that's all you needed to know, I would like to go back to sleep." He added and pulled back from the side, going back to his nap.

Kokone stood stock still, absorbing all of Rei's replies. After everything processed, her face fell. Oh, so he didn't want her to be his friend.
"Oh, I'm sorry for bothering you, sir," she said dejectedly. "Good night."
Sighing, Kokone leaned against the door, prepared to wait out the next half-hour of what was left of the entrance ceremony. She glanced back up in the direction of the boy, though she couldn't see him from her angle. Maybe she should introduce herself and they could be friends anyways? She backed away from roof-door-room thing so that she could see his sleeping form. Because of her height, that was quite the distance.
She cleared her throat to try to get his attention, but it was so quiet that even a dog would have picked up her tiny "ahem". Kokone shifted a bit from where she stood. But the guy already seemed annoyed that she woke him up before; what if he got angry and yelled at her? Worse, what if he refused to be her friend?
Changing her mind, the brunette girl quickly and quietly made her way back to the roof door. The tension (which didn't really exist anywhere except Kokone's own mind) was too much for her to bear. Maybe she'd hide away from the rest of the entrance ceremony in the bathroom.
Right before she reached the door, however, Kokone tripped over her own feet and plunged forward. In an attempt to gain her balance, she shot her arm out and grabbed the door handle.
SCREEECH--CRACK!
The handle turned with a horrible sound before snapping off. Kokone hit the ground face-first, door handle clutched firmly in her hand. The already rusted handle must have weakened when Kokone tried to use it as a door handle. Still lying on the floor, she stared at the metal piece in her hand, face aghast.
Oh, shit.

He only managed to get comfortable and started falling asleep before a loud "SCREEECH--CRACK" made him jump.
Just what the heck was that?!
He sad up ans looked over the side again to see the girl from before on the floor, and clutching the door handle. It took him a moment to register what he was seeing. She broke the door handle off?!
"Just how the heck did you manage to do that?" He asked the girl with a slight amazement.

"I... I..."
Kokone looked at the boy, back at the door handle, and then to the boy again.
"I don't know," she whispered, eyes wide. She jumped to her feet and tried to shove the door handle back into its place, to no avail. "Does the door still open?"

He jumped down from the roof top thing and examines the handle. "Kicking the door down could be one way. Don't think the school will like that though." He takes the handle from the girl. "The thing is pretty rusted anyway."
Then he proceed to try opening the door with what was left of the handle.

Kokone watched the attempts with bated breath. After a few moments Rei was no longer holding a door handle, but one of the many rusted pieces of the handle.
"..."
So much for that.
"Maybe the janitor will come by and open it from the inside soon," Kokone suggested.

"Doubt it. They hardly ever come up here. Hardly anyone does actually." He replied as he tossed the rusted piece of iron on the ground.
He stood back from the door. "I wonder if I can kick this down..." He said to himself as he looked thoughtfully at the door.
