(( unoriginal fucking title
also very short intro i'm sorry i'm rlly rusty ))
Mikuo wanted a goddamn cigarette.
Personally, he believed he deserved it. A zombie apocalypse was on it's way on wiping out the human population entirely, and the rates of surviving were close to impossible.
As the teal-haired male scanned the area around him, he noted how the corpses around him were beginning to rot and turn. Taking his cadaver, he slashed the few corpses surrounding him to ensure his safety while raiding the bodies of their supplies.
"A cigarette...finally, there's something going my fucking way...!"
As Mikuo lit the cigarette with a lighter also found in the corpse's pocket, he took a drag and prayed to no one in particular that this freakish hell was almost over.

(s'okay! I hate starting so I understand!!) V.Flower tiptoed, peeking around corners before venturing out. Flower was certainly adventurous, but in this new setting, she could almost be called cocky. She loved the thrill of living life on the edge, and the rush of adrenaline that flooded through her when she encountered a zombie. Her only complaint about the supposed ‘apocalypse’ (that’s what she heard one group of survivors call it, and the name sort of stuck) besides the days that she occasionally went hungry, was her fashion. Flower was proud of her keen sense of fashion, a blend she considered to be a gothic Lolita and rocker crossover. Had she known the world as she knew it would have gone to shit the day it had, she would have elected for one of her more masculine outfits. But, she had been going out that day for a chance to sing, and had chosen her favorite outfit, the torn skirt, thigh highs, and lace up shirt with the mini jacket. Yet, know the skirt was more ripped, and the shirt was dirty. Her thigh highs had holes and rips in them. Only her boots had stood up and been a good choice. She looked down at her torn, once favorite outfit, and sighed in semi-distress. V. Flower peeked out from around a building and frowned. Someone was standing surrounded by bodies. V.Flower squinted at the figure, trying to determine if they were alive or dead. Based on the bodies, and the posture of the body, she decided to assume they were human. She attempted to tuck some of her silver hair behind her ears, but it quickly fell into place. She tightened her ponytail and strode out, making sure she couldn’t see any zombies first. The closer she got to the teal haired individual, the more she was aware of her slipping behind her cold mask. “Hello?” She cautiously asked, after she cleared her throat. Her voice was higher than she wanted to, and she looked down at her feet quickly, fixing it with a neutral expression.-- ((So, in case others want to join/swing by, I thought I'd add Rin...? I can remove it if needed...^^
Rin looked out over the low wall she was hiding behind. She gripped the weapon she had found on the street (a scrap piece of metal pole) tight and swallowed. She had been separated from her twin brother, and her friends. She felt alone and scared, and a group of meandering zombies stood behind her and relative safety. She took another deep breath, closed her eyes, and jumped over the wall, remembering that she had to do her best to be brave, and stay alive. She could see no way to make it past the zombies without drawing attention, and she resorted to screaming in fear when a zombie seemed to growl and shuffle towards her. She could feel a shiver creep down her spine, and the terror seemed to fuel her legs.
"Leave me alone!! Go away! Go away! GO AWAAAAAAY!!" She screamed, swinging the pole and hating the feel as it connected with the undead.

((oooh i'm super bad at zombie stories even though i love these I'M SO PUMPED. er but if this is based on The Last of Us then I have no idea about it so sorry--))
Among the abandoned buildings, the only sound Gakupo could hear was the sound of his labored breathing and the echo of his running steps as he made his way around debris and deserted cars, right hand resting on his katana's hilt, and left hand holding the sheath.
A zombie apocalypse. The end of the world brought by reanimated corpses. This sounded something straight from a horror movie! Gakupo inwardly cursed himself for never paying attention to any media pertaining to the undead besides that one odd movie about a lone samurai tackling an army of skeletons.
Wearing nothing but a grungy t-shirt that was supposed to be white and jeans, he felt a little naked; he had no armor or any of his usual clothes that everyone would call him a nut for wearing of his kimono and armor.
Gakupo made a mental list of what zombies had a tendency to do:
1) They smelled of rotting flesh. 2) They growled and groaned. 3) They smoked cigarettes?
Gakupo took a second to shake his head from that stray thought and followed the scent. Zombies didn't smoke cancerous drugs (though if they wanted to, the fact that they were already dead would be a perk against side effects). Humans did. And a human in the middle of this crazy disaster would probably be a survivor.
"Hello?" a female voice called out and instinctively Gakupo ducked behind a car and peeked through the window.
((in my opinion another character doesn't sound so bad..but this isn't my roleplay-- in fact, i might bring one in so i can choose to kill off one. 9w9))

LMAO ))
Mikuo felt the instinct need to relax once he took in the cigarette, making sure to inhale deeply. He was sure he wasn't going to find one anytime soon... possibly ever.
He watched the cigarette smoke rise and drift off into the becoming evening, noting how the air was getting noticeably cooler. He was grateful for the grey hoodie he slipped on earlier, as he remembered how he nearly left with a white tank on. His black jeans also helped from keeping the chill intrude, wiggling his toes in his black canvas sneakers in satisfaction.
At least he was comfortable, he mused happily.
As he threw the remains on the cement, he heard slow, cautious footsteps behind him. Gripping the cadaver (which was, by the way, still slick with zombie), he was prepared to swing.
"Hello?"
Fuck, Mikuo cursed mentally. The apocalypse was seriously bad enough with all the zombies, but Mikuo had discovered that once the apocalypse was in action, people became just as dangerous as zombies. They killed for supplies, for weapons... killed for fun..
He turned and held the cadaver high, ready to slash anything threatening his life.
A girl with rather uncomfortable looking clothing was in sight, a faltering cold expression on her face. As Mikuo studied her body language and actions, he assumed she was alone...
Was she safe? He wondered, not letting the cadaver sink anytime soon.
"What do you want?" Mikuo asked sternly, not breaking eye contact. He wasn't going to let her do anything slick.
As he did this however, he felt as if... someone was watching him. He understood that this random girl was indeed looking at him... but...
He looked around quickly, only seeing a few old cars. As Mikuo redirected his vision to the girl, he began to feel uneasy, his eyebrows furrowing.

((So, the personality I gave V. Flower isn't coming as easily as I thought and she comes off kinda Sue-ish, so is it okay that I'm playing around a little? Sorry if it is...>.> Also, do you want me to re-start with Rin?)
--
V. Flower threw up her hands in the universal don't attack sign. Her composure slipped and fear splashed across her features as she stood facing the weapon aimed to slash at her. Her fear turned to embarrassment, and then to annoyance, at both herself and the guy in front of her. She narrowed her eyes and stuck her hands on her hips, glaring at him as she jutted one hip out.
“Hey! What’s your problem? Seriously! I’m pretty sure I don’t look as ugly as the...the…as whatever is attacking us!” She snapped at him. If he said she did, she would slap him.
Flower still couldn’t come to terms with calling the things attacking them zombies. It just felt too surreal and somewhat ridiculous. But, she had no better idea either.
Slowly, very slowly, she lowered her arms.
“Look, I’m not here to hurt you I swear” She said, somewhat exasperated at his lack of…well anything. The teal haired man in front of her was still in the same position as before. Flower sighed, as she felt the adrenaline of nearly getting killed by a fellow human slowly dissipate.
With a roll of her eyes, V.Flower slowly started to walk; she was pacing more than anything. But she hated this stationary standing locked in a staring contest. She stopped and flicked her ponytail back over her shoulder.
“Look, I was just thinking two people would be better than 1 to survive this ordeal. And, seeing as you’re the first person I’ve seen since this started that doesn’t want to eat me, I thought I’d approach you. Apparently I was wrong, so, have a good day? Don’t die? I don’t even know what works anymore as a farewell” She mumbled the last sentence to herself as she dusted off her outfit, annoyed at the paranoia the other person was showing. Was this really such a problem? How could he be so distrustful? She was also feeling extremely embarrassed about the whole situation, and she was willing herself not to do anything stupid.

((Well despite the fact I don't really see the Sue-ness, Flower is relatively recent as a Vocaloid so it makes sense that you haven't fleshed out your headcanons yet~
ALSO EARLY APOLOGY AS I HARDLY TAKE MY SELF SERIOUSLY IN ROLEPLAYS, EVEN WHEN IT'S APOCALYPTIC..))
"Shit, I missed my entrance," Gakupo cursed inwardly. The two relatively young survivors seemed to be among the less murderous sort, but there wasn't any good timing waltz up to them and ask to join in on the group.
After all, a zombie apocalypse could get pretty lonely, and partners to watch each other's back sounded quite ideal. Despite how awkward, suspicious, and startling it could be for the other two, maybe seizing the opportunity for partnership would be the best choice...
Gakupo leaned against the car, facing away from the arguing teenagers. No, that was an awful idea. Humans were never to be trusted, especially in crises. One could never expect conviction in a person never acquainted before.
So the plan was to wait for the kids to leave, then he'd make his way to--
A low groan emitted from under a nearby car and Gakupo jolted (To his embarrassment. So much for 'fearless samurai') and slammed his elbow into the vehicle. The sound reverberated into the air and the pain reverberated up his arm.
The moving corpse crawled out from its hiding spot and Gakupo made quick work of slicing its head off with a swift movement of his katana. The dismembered part rolled away and the body fell limp against the ground.
After his heart stopped pounding like an overexcited taiko drum player, Gakupo realized that his cover was blown and it may have been a good time to make like a tree and leave.
(sorry about totally losing focus at the end)

((v.flower idk if u want to redo rin then by all means go ahead? its your cue ^^)) From what Mikuo could see, he saw a young, confused individual who was probably stubborn as hell when it came to admitting her objectives. A pang of sympathy hit him when he realized that she didn't look too old, either.
It wasn't fair at all, to be dragged into this sort of lifestyle all of a sudden. Mikuo knew that for sure, but at least he was decent enough to take care of himself when times depended on it.
Others, however, weren't fortunate enough to do so, he concluded. Mikuo decided that, on a whim, he'd try to at least hear the girl out. It was almost safe to say she wasn't an enemy.
As he was about to stop her from walking away, a thud from behind him redirected his attention.
"What the hell...?"
Mikuo's instincts were right. There was someone watching them, and unless this person had lived around here far before he had arrived, they also had an objective.
He slowly redirected his cadaver to the direction of the thud and slowly walked forward. As he got closer, it was clear to see that the thud had been a zombie's head.
The head, Mikuo noted, was sliced cleanly. Whether or not this was a good thing, Mikuo had difficulty figuring out.
He walked past the head to the other side of the car, and viewed the individual, who was now clearly male.
Despite the fact that the man had just sliced the head off of a zombie (and would probably have no trouble slicing Mikuo's, either), he gave off a calm aura. Nowadays, this was particularly rare in people.
Mikuo decided to try a different approach of getting to know the individual in front of him, in hope that a similar situation involving the girl he met a few minutes ago wouldn't occur again.
"Hello there," Mikuo began, raising an eyebrow and lowering the cadaver a bit, "Awfully strange of you to just be chilling there, isn't it?"

((Oh…okay…^^ It’s okay! I loved your first line! XD I’ll wait a bit…XD))
--
Mumbling in annoyance to herself, V. Flower hadn’t heard the noise that startled the young man, and it was his curse that brought her attention to the fact that they might indeed be in danger. The sudden realization made her spin around in a circle, quickly, aware that she was weaponless.
Although hating the thought of being a damsel in distress, Flower made sure to put the annoying young man (with the weapon) between herself and whatever had startled him. She followed along behind him, careful to be quiet, yet loud enough that he knew she was there so he wouldn’t turn around swinging his weapon.
Blinking in surprise, Flower was taken aback by the attitude of the young man. She couldn’t really see the newcomer, but the teal haired man was being…friendly! Although not entirely friendly, he was at least giving him a chance to explain himself. Flower craned her neck, trying to get a glimpse of the individual, she caught sight of a tall man, who was quite attractive, she noted. Not that whoever this weapon-wielding kid was wasn’t…but in a different way.
Flower shook her head to clear her thoughts and crossed her arms, huffing in annoyance.
“Really? You’re nice to him and not me? Is it cuz I’m a girl?” Flower asked, exasperation evident in her tone of voice.
“Sexist pig” She mumbled to his neck. She was more not sure how to react to the change, and the fact that this man had been so rude to her and not this gentleman.
((Idk what this was...sorry!! Dx))

((THE COLOR THING SEEMS FUN. SO.. yeah i'm just going to try it out)
Gakupo was beginning to make his way away, FAR away, when he realized that it was too late. He heard one of them exclaim in confusion, and he had no idea from which direction they were going to check so he couldn't sneak away. There were some other cars strewn across the road, but undead bodies could be rising right this insant, and crawling under a car wasn't an exactly ideal stance for fighting off attackers. Potential exits were blocked. Well, that wasn't going to work. He was absolutely awful at hiding anyways.
One of the teenagers, the smoker boy with the teal hair, appeared from one side of the car, weapon ready. As expected, vehicles made terrible cover. Unless there was gunfire. But there wasn't. In fact there was a sword pointed in his direction.
Looking up at the male teen, Gakupo slowly stood up, seeing as crouching behind, or from the boy's angle now, beside the vehicle was more than useless now. He had already sheathed his katana, but kept his hand on the hilt through the entire action. He narrowed his eyes slightly and prepared to make a quick move if a fight were to break out.
"Hello, there," the boy said, cocking his eyebrow in the arrogant manner most young adults did nowadays. (Or at least it felt that way) The sword was lowered slightly though, showing less ill intentions. Gakupo loosened his grip on the hilt of his own weapon, but did not let go. The boy spoke again. "Awfully strange of you to just be chilling there, isn't it?"
"Oh, um..." Oops.
Suddenly the girl from earlier poked her head from behind Mikuo, looking exasperated. She had an explosive sense of fashion, her hair in a wild ponytail and her dress torn up. VERY torn up. Maybe it wasn't meant to be torn and she just survived, oh, you know, a bomb explosion.
“Really? You’re nice to him and not me? Is it 'cuz I’m a girl?” The girl huffed, clearly a lot less cautious about Gakupo's presence. She mumbled something under her breath and looked rather upset.
"Oh, um..." Gakupo repeated, absolutely at a loss for words. The situation was very odd indeed, and such rebellious looking individuals may be difficult to speak to. (After all, his experience with CUL was continually negative as she said he had the mind of an old man.)
Gakupo tried again. "Um... the undead...has come to life." Oh, how absolutely brilliant, as if they hadn't already known that.

Mikuo had to blink a few times.
Had this guy really said what he just thought?
"Er, yeah."
Mikuo lowered his weapon even more. An enemy would've attacked him from the beginning, right?
This is a guy who's capabilities you don't know about yet, though!
Taking a step back, he bumped into someone. Turning around quickly, he saw that it was the same stubborn girl from the beginning. She seemed to be even more irritated now, her arms crossed in annoyance.
And that was when Mikuo realized all the things she had said.
His eye began to twitch in annoyance. This... this girl had already went out and insulted him in a way that was completely rude.
"W-What?! Are you kidding? I barely know you and you go ahead and insult me?!" ...
...was what he wanted to say.
Instead of doing so though, he glared down at the girl and said in a sickly sweet voice:
"Want to say it to my face?"
The purple-haired man with a tendency to state the obvious could wait.
