"No prob--ehhhhhhhhhhHHHHHH?!" The boy's hat had fallen off to reveal that... He had really freaking weird hair! It was pretty girly looking and there were drill-like curls as well! What a weird... a quick smack to the side of the head got his brain working again. That wasn't a boy, it was girl! And she got away without any reprimanding, too.
"Ah, anyways, no problem, madam," Mugi continued on, rubbing the back of his head.

Snatch and run is a pretty common stealing method but not the best. It could get you in a lot of trouble, and certainly a lot of pain. Rei observed the scene, amused. Well time to go snatch some coins himself, in a smarter way of course.
He snuck down to the crowd, looking around for a fat, rich looking man. Aha! Target acquired. The teen took a step back and then dashed. He passed right by the rich man, and snatched his full coin pouch. All the crowd would've felt was a sudden gust of wind, and saw nothing. The rich man? He probably won't notice his pouch was gone until he starts looking for it.
((Ahhh I really don't know what to type here xD ))

Gumi smiled again, but then quickly remembered she needed to go get supplies. She quickly picked up her bag that she had dropped whilst the previous ordeal happened and turned to Mugi again. "Would you happen to know where I could get traveling supplies in this town?" she asked.

Ruko yawned and stretched her arms out into the air. It was quite a trek to get all the way to Aelmoor. She glanced around at the bustling citizens.
"Where the hell am I supposed to look for a job?" she grumbled. Ruko didn't have much experience in large cities.
Then, she noticed a black-haired kid run quickly and smoothly past a fat man dressed in gaudy riches. It was barely noticeable, but in a swift, clean motion he had gently liberated the man's coin pouch from his pocket. Most people probably wouldn't have seen that, but after living alone as a hunter, Ruko had sharp eyesight and could pick out even suck small, quick movements.
"Well," Ruko said with a slight grin. "That's a start."
The tall woman stepped to the side to intercept the thief's path and bent forward so that her face was right in front of his.
"Hey," she whispered. "Gimme half that gold and I won't tell the guy who you stole it from."

The teen stopped himself as someone interrupted his path. Rei stared at the woman. Oh, so someone saw him? That's fine, the man'd probably find out sooner or later anyway.
"Asking might be better than threatening y'know." He replied. Sure, he can give her half the gold, the rest is probably more than enough for him to use. But Rei doesn't quite like to do something just because someone threatened him.

Meanwhile, standing in front of of the green haired gentlewoman, Mugi pondered the question with the straightest face he could muster. Traveling supplies could mean a variety of things depending on where you were and Mugi had just gotten to the city and therefore knew nothing.
And so, with utter eloquence, Mugi replied in a helpful manner, "Uuuehh, I duuuunno..?" He coughed and tried again. "Sorry, I just arrived here myself, so like, I don't know where anything is. I sort of came here looking for work--"
"For work, you say?"
"Pegasus crap, holy son-of-a-troll!"
"It looks like you got a sword on ya. Are ya one of them adventurers?" An old, most likely suspicious old man was grinning at Mugi like a leering goblin with missing teeth. Judging from the smell of his breath, he might have been drinking.
"Oh, uh. Maybe?"
"People like you ain't supposed to work them borin' jobs! All adventurers nowadays are makin' them Quest Guilds!" Whatever that was. The old guy took a swig from a bottle. Judging from the previous action, he DEFINITELY had been drinking. "That uh, whosawasit guy in the building over there," he pointed towards an official looking building, "He helps you get started."
"Oh, um, thank you, sir." Well, if Mugi was to live on his own with nothing but a pouch of money and a sword, it did seem like more fun to go questing than to help with construction or feed an old lady porridge or something.
"Just helpin' kids like ya!" The old man grinned and laughed for what seemed like no apparent reason. Nothing was funny about accepting thanks. It was nice, sure, but not really FUNNY. "I used to be an adventurer myself, but I hurt my leg and now I can't do nothin'. But I had one hell of a life back in the good ol' days." He looked to the sky, most likely reminiscing those "good ol' days" and then proceeded to wander off in his drunken stupor. There wasn't even a good bye.
"That was weird," Mugi muttered under his breath. But it wasn't like he wasn't going to take up the man's advice and check out to see if he could make one of those guilds. He turned his attention back to the lady. "S-sorry, about that madam, but, uh, the point is, I don't know where any stores of that sort are. Sorry..! But hey, I think I'll be needing some myself, so we can look together."
Mugi mentally made note to keep an eye on that official building to return to later. He also noticed a huge, intimidating lady(?) bullying a kid. He couldn't quite make out the conversation, but the giant was looming over that black haired boy in a rather unfriendly fashion, so violence seemed like a possible event. Well, if things got worse, it'd be a good idea to whip out his sword and show off some heroics.

Ruko shrugged nonchalantly. She didn't feel very threatened by Rei's resistance, as he was much, much shorter than the towering woman. It didn't occur to her that the speedy thief could possible have any sort of weapon, though her leather armour would probably be able to withstand a dagger attack.
"Whatever, kid," she said, not changing her position. "Just gimme the money."
She held her palm out expectantly, staring directly at Rei's face.
Meanwhile, in a clean, white building, a brown-haired man with glasses sat patiently behind his desk, going over transactions in a prim, leather-bound notebook. The writing inside was very tidy looking, with not a smudge or stray mark to be seen. As he did his work, he smiled to himself.
"Good job, Kiyoteru," the man said, talking to himself. "These Quest Guilds are getting very popular among young adventurers."
He circled the last number on the page, which was the amount of profit he had made that month. It was quite a sum. Satisfied, he pushed up his glasses, as was his habit to do, and reviewed the page again.
To start a Quest Guild one had to go to this building to obtain a license, rent a base, and receive the Questing starter kit. Successful guilds made a lot of money, and could pay off these expenses easily, but many over-excited warriors usual dug themselves huge debts until they rendered themselves homeless beggars. Nevertheless, zealous people made Quest Guilds in high demand and Hiyama was subsequently quite the rich man.
"What a good day," he purred to himself contentedly.

Rei considered his choices. He could give the woman money, which could result her leaving him alone, or telling the man anyway. Or he can just run away. Which then she'd just tell the man, or try to catch him herself.
He shrugged and took out the pouch, taking out half the coins and giving it to the woman. He couldn't use all of these anyway, and carrying them are a pain. He put the pouch away, and then he walked away from the woman.

Feeling very satisfied, Ruko pocketed her not-so-hard-earned money and continued on her merry way, opposite in the direction of the little thief.
"Now time to find me some real money," Ruko muttered, fingering the coins in her pocket. In her mind, she felt she was a VERY good person, taking only half of the stolen sum. "I'm too nice," she sighed to herself, with a smile.
XXXXXXX
"Uhm," the nurse said, nervously pulling her fingers through her hair. "I'm really sorry about this."
Kokone stared in disbelief, unable to fathom what was happening to her.
"B-but, the healing power," she said in a lame attempt to save herself. The nurse shook her head, still refusing to look Kokone in the eyes.
"We can't really have a doctor who passes out when she sees her patients."
The nurse's tone of voice sounded sorry and patronizing, but her expression seemed more tired and exasperated. She had been told by the head of the hospital to fire poor Kokone, who had caused yet another mishap when a particularly bloody and beaten client, who had been in a construction accident, caused the frail girl to scream and pass out before giving treatment. The nurse herself was a bit fed up by Kokone's inability to handle the sights.
"I-I see," Kokone said softly, fingering the thorns of her choker, distractedly.
The People of the Royal Capitol of Aelmoor were devoted to the will of "Fate", that what happens is destiny and meant to happen. And so doctors and nurses, who went against the so-called will, punished themselves for healing injuries and prolonging lives that were meant to end. Each wore sleeveless shifts that fell to their ankles with vine like accessories that wrapped around their arms, covered with thorns that constantly dug into and scratched their skin. In addition, they had chokers of the same material (the thorns not as deep so as not to kill the healer but still dangerous). Their dress was thick material with spikes adorned on the insides so that clerics felt as if they were constantly in an Iron Maiden. Plus, doctors did not receive much compensation in pay, and were quite low in status in the strange city of weird religions and customs, though they were hailed as heroes in many other cities and villages.
Kokone, at the moment, felt like her painful garb was a waste of her time, but she quickly shook away her blasphemous thoughts. She would just have to find work elsewhere. There weren't many healers in the city due to the conditions they had to put up with, so it wouldn't be too difficult to find another hospital that would take her.
"I'm sorry for the trouble," Kokone said with a stiff bow. "Thank you for having me."
And the girl went to the streets clutching the fruits of her last paycheck in a small pouch.

Rei found his way to an inn. He payed for a room and food, but still has quite a sum of money left. The teen sighed, might as well go out and check out the shops to see if there's anything worth buying. Rei was definitely not going to lug this pouch of coins around when he travels. The teen walked around until he found a weapon shop. He stepped in and looked around the shop until he found the knife section.
A burly man walked up to him, smirking, "Yo, kid. Lookin' for knives? Swords too big for yer to handle eh?" He laughed out loud. Rei ignored the man and took a knife from the display, checking the balance. Ick.
"You ignoring me brat?" The man leaned down and glared at him, he reeked of alcohol.
"I can hear what you say, I simply choose not to answer." Rei replied calmly, taking some other knives off the display and checking them.
"Well then you better learn to answer!!" The man swung his fist at the teen. People in the shop sniggered, stared, or just sighed and shook their heads. Seems like the man does this a lot, Rei observed as he took a step back, dodging the man's punch. The man, not having a target to land his fist on, lost his balance, staggered and fell. Some of the shoppers laughed, the man shook his head and glared at the teen angrily.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!" He raged, getting up and lunged at the teen. Two other men held him back, "Woah dude, calm down man, he's just a kid." One of the guys chuckled, "Got enough jail times already, we'll never get started on our quest if you keep landing in jail. We're getting behind on the quest guilds as it is." The burly man just glared at the teen, growling but allowing his friends to hold him back.
Rei glanced at them and went to the shop owner. "I'll take these." He put down a set of throwing knives, a pack of needles, and a sharp clip point knife.
"Sure." The owner apparently saw nothing wrong with the events that just happened. The teen payed for the items and tucked them away on his belt, and a secure leather pouch. Then he walked out of the shop and looked for a good food stall. A quest guild hu? Rei wondered, maybe it'll be more exciting than assassination jobs.
((Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I suck at writing long stuff. ))
